Blending With Acrylic

We blended backgrounds using acrylic paint and then added foreground details when they had dried.

This is a simple technique that you see a lot of online, but it's always a hit and really fun!

We were experimenting with blending acrylics and then applying them as a backdrop to silhouette. We tried it out on paper, canvas board and wood.

Our community really enjoyed it so we mixed it up a bit and tried applying tape to boards before being painted to create different effects. The last images shows the trees with a blended background using tape to block out the areas we didn't want to blend and then added the detail after the background had dried.

Look what we created!
