Films
A collection of creative films made by people connected to the Cambridgeshire Recovery Service, sharing stories, experiences and perspectives through the power of creativity.
From personal stories to poetry brought to life on screen, our films celebrate the voices, talents and creativity of our recovery community.
Every story is different, and every voice matters. We hope these films inspire, connect people and help others see things from a different perspective.
Have a story to tell or an idea to share? We’d love to hear from you. Get in touch to find out how you can be part of our creative community.
Gary Verses Addiction
Gary Verses Addiction illustrates Gary's journey from long-term homelessness and addiction, through recovery, and to a place he can call home.
His story is told using his own poetry and is brought to life through the creative input of 14 individuals associated with the Cambridgeshire Recovery Service's Recovery Cafes.
Creating Change
Creating Change is a short film written, acted, filmed and produced by Cambridgeshire Recovery Service and members of our community.
At its centre is a simple but powerful conversation between two people, exploring fears, hopes and the realities of recovery. While every journey is different, the film gently reminds us how much we share in common: the doubts we carry, and the desire for growth, healing and change.
